Simply reach out to us HERE and a member of our team will follow up with you to discuss our membership levels and benefits.

Businesses who serve the off-road community – a manufacturer, retailer, event promoter or in the hospitality industry, are eligible to join at the Bronze level or higher. We have a specific membership offering for our non-profit community partners. You do not need to be a business in order to join as a general member.

No, you don’t have to be a member of SEMA to be a member of ORBA. However, SEMA has a unique set of membership benefits we encourage ORBA members to explore, including SEMA Show booth discounts, and access to services like Tech Transfer, SEMA Data and SEMA Garage.

No, you don't have to be a member of SEMA's Truck and Off Road Alliance (TORA) to be a member of ORBA (or vice versa). However, both ORBA and TORA have a unique set of membership benefits we encourage each group to explore. TORA members are eligible for a 10% discount on their ORBA membership and ORBA members are eligible for a 10% discount on their TORA membership. There will be times when ORBA and TORA will join forces to bring our two groups together since we have many aligned interests. We look forward to these strategic partnerships and the energy we can bring our truck and off-road communities.

ORBA’s primary function has been to be the off-road business community’s leading advocate in the matters affecting our industry – and this will continue but in an even more rigorous manner with new tools to bring to the table like regional economic impact reports and consumer research. Most importantly, ORBA must work with a coalition mindset – no one organization can accomplish our advocacy goals alone.
However, we each bring a unique set of skills, audiences and strengths to the table. Combining the SEMA team’s government affairs expertise with our storytelling abilities and our broad enthusiast-centric SEMA Action grassroots community, we can support and strengthen the work of so many other non-profit organizations within our community who work at the local and regional levels and have areas of expertise that are critical to supporting a strong future for our beloved off-road community. We will always be stronger together.
As for the specifics, here’s what we have on deck as we re-launch ORBA:
Continued monitoring and commenting of any Administrative Law or state and federal legislative actions that impact access to public lands. We have a couple of major projects that are ongoing and are working their way through the process – specifically WEMO and Johnson Valley – with more on the horizon.
Supporting the federal Outdoor Americans with Disabilities Act (S. 2968) in Congress. We have joined with the Blue-Ribbon Coalition and other organizations in support of this legislation. It will be one of our key priorities in SEMA’s upcoming DC Rally in Washington, DC.
Our partnership with EcoLogic Partners will continue. This partnership is formed by ORBA, American Motorcycle Association District 37 and the American Sand Association and is an important one to continue challenge actions that threaten access to public lands. Most recently, SEMA and EcoLogic Partners jointly funded our successful litigation against the California Coastal Commission’s attempt to close access for OHVs at Oceano Dunes in California.
Regional Impact Reports. Our industry does not get the credit or recognition it deserves as an economic driver in the communities where enthusiasts recreate and racers compete. There is great data at the national level about the impact of the overall outdoor recreation industry, but we must arm ourselves with the data at the regional level as an important tool when meeting legislative and ordinance challenges at the state and local levels. Our goal is to complete four regional economic impact reports in geographically diverse areas around the United States in 2026 and 2027. This is an important part of our story, and we need to tell it.
Coalitions and Partnerships. We firmly believe that we are stronger working together. ORBA does not exist to replace the work of any organization in our community – we all have our areas of expertise and knowledge, and it is our goal to help support and harness this in the future. It includes everything from partnering on legislative initiatives, to amplifying the great work of other groups in our community, to working closely with our business members to help educate their customers and vendors about the threats (and opportunities!) we face from government and special-interest actions that can impact our businesses and livelihoods.
